Pitching. ..Complicated Simplicity

The complicated simplicity about pitching.

This Information is for all parents, coaches, and players. All pitchers are different. No two pitchers are exactly identical. I want you to do two things right now.  I want you to hold out your hands and look at your fingertips and then your fingerprints. Notice how some of them are similar, and some are completely different. No two are exactly alike. Yes that goes for everyone. Now I want you to sign your name in cursive five times in a column going down under each other. I want you to look at them and notice are they exactly the same, no difference anywhere at all? If you copied the signature and put them over themselves are they perfect? Are you just learning your signature, or have you been signing your name for over 15 years in cursive? Did you work on that signature till you were happy with it? Or did you accept it the way it was?

Chances are you worked on it a little. Another way I want you to think of it as being a mixture of possibilities. One you are born with, and one you create yourself. Pitching is no different. Some talent you are born with and what you become depends on how you work towards it. How long do you want to play baseball for? Do you know how good you can be at baseball? Do you challenge yourself to get better every day? What level are you at now? Are you being successful? Do you know why or why not? So many questions. Where are all the answers?

Well nobody has all the answers! NOBODY!! I am not here to say I have all the answers. But I definitely will give you a way to think about things. Give you something that could make you a better pitcher. A template and a plan to help you get  more out of yourself.

We now live in a world of instant gratification. Every one want to see instant results. Some kids will, and some kids won't. Pitching is a process. Its like steps. How often do you take the stairs? Escalators? Lets regress to something simpler and go from there. Before you learned to sprint, you had to learn how to run. Before you learned to run, you had to walk. Before you walked you stumbled around and hung onto things to help you. Before that you scooted.. etc.

Now think of it as levels of an organization. Honestly that is all baseball is. If you master the fundamentals for the level you are playing and keep succeeding you go to the next level.

What if you had a template that could help you become a better pitcher?  What if you had something to follow? A guide to help you find your maximum potential. It is a lot of work. It takes time. But you can make yourself better! The time to start is Now! TODAY!

Ask yourself. Am I as good as I can be? Can I get better? What should I be mastering as a pitcher?  The Answers vary depending on what age you are and how many years you have been pitching. No matter what your age is or how many years you have been pitching I will help you become a better pitcher! If you are playing fall baseball, or only play baseball and you're a pitcher, and want to get better I want to talk to you.  I want to sit down with you and form a plan to succeed and reach your goals for next year. Are you on the top 10 list for pitchers in your area? Do you want to be? If so let me know.
